As 2021 has come to a close, we want to thank our community for their support both before and after the launch of hashport; the response has been overwhelmingly positive and we are grateful.
This past year, the team was focused on development, integrations, and go-to-market strategies that have laid the foundations we plan to build upon in the years to come. Now that hashport is live, with assets being ported between DLT networks in a fast, secure, and cost-effective way, the focus turns to adding new networks, assets and functionalities for our users.
Industry Development
The industry is expanding at an incredible pace. Many new L1 and L2 networks have started to come into their own, complete with rich DeFi & NFT ecosystems. ZK-Rollups are starting to be strongly looked at as potential solutions to network gas congestion and the rate of adoption of all of these networks will only accelerate from here. As these trends continue to explode, the need for fast, secure, and cost-effective interoperability functions grows with them. hashport will be working at the forefront of these transitions in order to provide its users with one of the best solutions in the market.
Success Through Community Engagement
2022 will be an exciting year for hashport. We have a great deal planned that will push hashport towards becoming a go-to solution for user interoperability needs. While we cannot dive into every plan and the details therein (some things can be left to the imagination), we value all of our users and feel you deserve to know what to expect from us in the years to come. We have an established roadmap and are always listening to our hashporters for potential new ideas and experiences you would like to see on the platform.

To this end, earlier in December, we asked for your feedback in a community poll. Thank you to all hashporters who participated!
Fast forward to January 2022, results are now out! More than 70% of you voted for “integrating wallets” & “additional networks” as your most requested updates. We’ve heard you and are working tirelessly to add these items for you. Expect to hear much more in the coming months!
Technical Development
As far as new networks go, you can see in our trailer video some of the networks that could soon be supported on hashport. As the year progresses, we will explore integrating both EVM and non-EVM-based networks, which will significantly expand the reach of hashport’s DLT interoperability. With respect to wallets, we are already in talks with several wallets platforms about incorporating their services onto hashport to support a much broader userbase. From these implementation plans, our goal is to enable and empower users’ funds to be completely interoperable across as many networks, with as little preparation as is possible to use our service. It is important to note again that hashport is a network-agnostic public utility that will expedite mass adoption by breaking down barriers that prevent users from doing what they want with their assets; regardless of the protocol.
Marketing Initiatives
hashport also has several exciting features and events coming up. With a world-class validator swarm consisting of diverse industry-leading organisations, you can expect to hear a lot more from our validators. Similar to our campaign with Animoca Brands in November and December of last year, we will be doing a new co-marketing campaign with another one of our validators; Calaxy, in February. This will include exciting content from both parties and give users insight into the future of both projects. We will also have marketing campaigns with other networks and projects specifically within the Hedera ecosystem, shining a spotlight on exciting projects that have unique utilities.
