Hashport is adding yet another L1 Network to its platform — Moonbeam. Moonbeam is an EVM-compatible parachain for cross-chain connect applications on Polkadot.
The Moonbeam integration had been requested by Hashporters, and it was unanimously voted in by the Hashport Governing Council. Being the only bridge on Hedera that connects 11 networks, we are proud to enable interoperability for DeFi players from both the Moonbeam ecosystem & the HBAR community.
As of today, Moonbeam is live on hashport, making it the 12th supported network integrated into the portal. With the integration of the Moonbeam network, we also welcome Moonwell’s WELL to the Hashport list of supported tokens. This means that WELL token holders have access to new opportunities that have been made possible through interoperability.
What is Moonbeam?
Moonbeam is an Ethereum-compatible smart contract parachain on Polkadot. Moonbeam has implemented a fully functioning EVM as part of a Polkadot parachain, which enables users to send regular Ethereum transactions to Moonbeam and makes it easy to use popular Ethereum developer tools to build or redeploy Solidity projects in a Substrate-based environment.
At the time of writing, the Moonbeam network has over 46.95 million in TVL.
