Optimism is Live on Hashport!

Hashport is adding yet another network to its platform. As of today, Optimism is now live on Hashport, making it the 7th network live and the platform’s second layer-2 network. This means that tokens on Optimism and their holders have access to opportunities never before available, accessing new opportunities through interoperability. It also means that tokens already on Hashport have a new destination to be ported to, creating new opportunities for applications on Optimism to attract new holders as well.

What is Optimism?
Optimism is a Layer 2 network that utilises optimism rollup technology that capitalises on the security of L1 Ethereum and its consensus mechanism. By taking some of the requirements of the transaction process off of Ethereum, Optimism helps clear up some of the congestion that the Ethereum network faces due to the nature of the network and high transaction volume. At the time of writing, the Optimism network has over 500 million in TVL spread across 80+ dApps.
