As of today, the Arbitrum network has been integrated onto Hashport, enabling interoperability between Arbitrum and Hashport’s other supported networks. At the time of writing, supported networks on Hashport include Hedera, Polygon, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Avalanche, and now Arbitrum. With the integration of Arbitrum, we also welcomed new tokens to the platform as well. What is Arbitrum?
Arbitrum is a layer two network that utilises optimistic rollups to offer high-speed transactions in an effort to alleviate congestion of the Ethereum layer one network. Arbitrum was created by Offchain Labs, and launched its beta mainnet in May 2021 while their mainnet launched three months later in August 2021. Since its launch, it has seen an influx of activity and dApps on the network and currently sits with over $1B in TVL.
